What kind of engine oil is good for rotary engine? Is anyone use that

That's fine to use, but it's expensive. The consensus here seems to be Castrol GTX 20w-50.

I personally use 20/50 in the summer and 10/30 in the winter they generate alot of heat and need a thick oil in the summer. Try to steer away from synthetics if you have the stock oil injection system in place.

yea, usually Castrol GTX is the best non synthetic Oil you can buy at normal retail stores.

just purchased a rx7 my self(3rd gen)...it may seem dumb but why non-synthetic?? Over synthetic???

dennis, synthetic wasnt fully tested in rotary.

ive been using 20w/50 since day one in that motor

^ Wrong. Synthetics were tested in rotary engines and were declared as a no no because poor quality synthetics are bad due to not burning completely. This matters because, as we all should know, the omp squirts oil into the combustion chamber. High quality synthetics (Mobil 1 or better) are just fine for a rotary.
