What Clutch ?

Hi,

i have tried searching on this forum for clutches, but no luck in what i am trying to find.....

I have a 93 Generation 3 rx-7, I need to buy a clutch for it, but the thing is there is soo many to choose from, I need a good clutch, my car will be modified soon I plan to have around the 400BHP mark, I want a clutch that is streetable which I can drive everyday and I also do a some 1/4mile runs, so just something that is alot better than the stock one? just something that does not engage hard ! fastroad use.

Could you please recommend a clutch for my use?
any decent places to buy maybe online ?

Thank you

Shaq.

I agree!... Of course.

Seriously though, our street kit should give you just what you are seeking. You won't be dissappointed.

been doin some research on the ACT clutches...

Was wondering if you could advise me...

what do you think of this setup

"ACT Heavy Duty Pressure Plate #MZ011, Street Strip Racing Disc #MZSD069, Release Bearing # RB600, Pilot Bearing # PB1013 and Alignment Tool # AT03. This kit will be capable of handling 402 ft./lbs of torque and have a 40% increase in clamping force. This Clutch is recommended for Street racer that needs a stronger but comfortable clutch for everyday driving"

should i go for the x-treme pressure plate instead ?? i want smooth engagement still, would this be ok with the xtreme pressure plate ??

Thanks again

Shaq

The Xtreme pressure plate will give you a stiffer pedal over the HD but no change in engagement quality. It may require a bit more adjustment at the pedal to get the engagement point in the right spot. I would stay away from the race disc though and stick with the street setup.

We have dealers all over the US and there are many distributors and internet shops that ship worldwide, but I am not sure which one to recommend. You just have to shop around. We can also ship direct from us, but you will probably end up paying a little more since we don't discount the parts like other shops do.

ACT Heavy Duty Street/strip setup is the ONLY way to go, IMO. I had the same clutch on my old '89 and '95 Probe GT's. Beat the **** out of the Clutchmasters I had for awhile
