what to buy for rebuild???

this is my first rotary teardown, but I have done a few chevy small blocks.

my '88 finally stopped running (after running poor for a while)
I got the engine out and apart.
housings look good, but the rotors have surface rust.
I can see 3 points where water was passing through the gaskets.

there are lots of rubuild/gasket kits out there, which one is the one to get??
how do I know which parts need replaced??
or do you just always get the $1000 kit and replace everything??

are my rusted rotors salvagable??
what would be best to remove the rust??

if not, what does it take to put the '89-'92 rotors in this engine??
and where to get them??

Pics? Rust on the rotors shouldn't really be a problem, but it depends on where and how much.

How do the coolant passages look? Are they rusted? If so, where and how bad? Is there obvious pitting?

In addition to one of those rebuild kits, I'd personally replace the rotor bearing and main bearings in the stationery gears. They have to be pressed in and out, but the bearings themselves aren't very expensive.

the coolant passages have the white deposits you find in the coolant passages of any aging car.

will try to get pics of the rotors today.
