Water seal groove pitting

Hi guys,

I torn appart my engine a few weeks ago. The intermediate plate had a broken water jacket wall. After cleaning the other plates I found some pitting in the water seal grooves, probably due to corrosion too. The pitting isn't too deep but it makes the surface uneven. I'm asking if this could cause problem. I plan to use hylomar to place/hold water seals during assembly. Will the hylomar corrects these imperfections and seals the engine correctly?

Here is a few pics:

Thanks,

Alex
