Transmission help

Hey guys, recently on my FD, when shifting from neutral to first, or neutral to reverse, I experience a terrible grinding sound.

It's happened before, mostly when I go into reverse, but that was not very often. Now it's happens almost 50 percent of the time.

Recently, I adjusted my clutch pedal so that it was lower and shorter. I thought that might be the problem, so I tried putting it back - but that didn't really help. Do you think this could've been the problem?

I was thinking about changing the transmission fluid. Would that be the case? Or would it be something more serious like my synchro's?

Thanks for your help guys.

i'd make sure the clutch is fully disengaging. putting some synthetic like redline in wouldn't hurt either. i would think if it was a clutch issue, it would grind in every gear.

Lowering your clutch pedal is probably causing the problem. Put it back, and make sure there is only a little bit of play. The adjustment is a threaded pin. Easy to adjust.
