Thinking of switching from 3000GT N/A to RX-7 Turbo

I need your help guys, I'm thinking of going a 3rd gen rx7 tt....but I hear lots of horror stories about maintenance, can you help me figure all this out and find the factual information?

What is maintenance like on these things, how can I be sure that I'm going to get a good one?

Should I just go for a vr-4?

It's true that the 3rd gen rex is a bitch to take care of, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Try asking the 3rd gen forum.

VR-4

I'd imagine the insurance would be about the same. Based on your age and location, I would guess $3000-$3500 per year. You can get 10% knocked off of that if you have a "B" average or better in school. Not many students know about this. Even better is the deal I've got. My car is on my father's contract as a weekend warrior and he pays less than $1000 per year! I don't know if that's fraud or not, but just don't say anything to the insurance company.
