stock 3 pc seals on FD for track 300 whp ???

Hello , I'm debating purchasing a low millage stock motor , that has very good compression . but it has or well probably has the stock 3 peice apex seals .

it is a series 7 motor . because it is very low milage and has very good comp I would rather not rebuild it . if I had to rebuild it i'm better off buying something else .

The car will be used for track days , and autocross and all kinds of abuse. Would the stock Seals handle 300 HP of constant abuse . Will probably be running the stock twins at 12 psi .

Anyone have any opinions obviously thre is no guarantee , But theoretically is there anything wrong with using a stock motor for this application ?

If the motor is in good health, it will be fine. Quick story, I ran 14 psi with all the nornal mods on my twins on my reman which was 3 pc seals. It had about 40k on it and I would drive it pretty dang hard. It sat for 4 years and I feared the worse so I parted it and upon disassembly it was immaculate. So hindsight was I shoulda just ran it, at least the parts made most of the money I needed for my new motor.

Worry about keeping it cool, then the engine will stay happy.

the JDM tuners prefer the 3 piece seals. they might not like detonation as much as a 2 piece, but they seal better

600ps and 8400rpm, is quite adequate, i think. notice where the tell you you're running too much timing?

the 3 piece seals better, however they are more sensitive to detonation.
