sounds like a gunked up carb, or dead accelerator pump.

does it fall on it's face if you romp on it?

Once you've started it and driven it does it have problems starting back up or does it have the starting problem again after it sits unused for awhile?

it doesn't sound like the carb was done right but if you want to convince yourself that it was and skip over it and possibly never cure the problem, feel free.

pop off the air cleaner when the problem occurs, use a flashlight and watch the carb throats while stabbing the accelerator. do you see a steady stream of fuel going into each primary venturi? if not, or only on one side then your accelerator pump isn't working properly.

and you are pumping the gas pedal 2-3 times before attempting to start the car i assume?

Rotary EVOLUTION _THANK YOU...YOU nailed it..After spraying the CARB down real good and driving it HARD the CAR is running well..I followed your instructions , and saw that instead of spraying it was DRIPPING gas into the CARB...SO it was GUNKED UP like you said..thanks SCOTT
