Starting after sitting through winter

I know Ive seen this answered here before, but couldnt find it right off hand. Anyway, my first generation with a street port and weber carb have been neglected and sitting through another winter. I was gonna try startin it up, but figured ther might be a few precautions I should take. Anything besides checking the oil/water, obviously?

Has it only been sitting for one winter (a few months), or has it been sitting since last winter so over a year?
