starters

i have a late 70's 13b will a starter from a 86 work?

i'm not familiar enough with the 2nd gens, but with same style trannys(manual to manual), pre-86 starters will work. i'm using one off an '83 on a '74 engine. i'd try it, if it doesn't work, take it back.

if you have an Rx-7, it should work. there was something funky about the lower bolt, but i can't remember right now. my brother had a Gen II starter in his Rx-7.

if you don't have an Rx-7, then i'm not sure, but it probably should work just the same ...
