Exclamation Fuel cut off

I have a fuel cut off switch set up and I was driving, then My car shut off. I pulled over and looked at the switch. The positive connector had come off. I then proceeded to put it back on my switch. I crank, the engines turns but not over. I try this again and again thinking maybe I flooded then engine. I sat there for ahwile cranking it trying to burn all the fuel. Tried to turn the switch back on, nothing. I then just connected the positive and negative wire together, the two wires sparked. I looked at the connector to the fuse and it looked all burnt. I connected the wires agian. THe car continues to turn but will not start. I check all my engine fuses and none are blown. I am stumped as hell, why is my car not getting gas. It is an 88 gtu. If anyone has any information let me know!!!!!
