SS fuel line help

Well Im doing AN fittings for the first time. Question... i take off the red female end, and I put the Fuel line in this far http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b316/PandaFC/AN.jpg to the yellow line. I then put it on the male end, making sure the hose goes over the male end, start screwing the female end on, holding the line, so it doesnt back out. Is this correct? making sure this is correct, to help prevent finding leaks later because I did the process wrong.
