Slight "bog" between shifts

I've noticed lately that if I rev my car out past 6k, full throttle, that when I shift it kind of bogs between gears. It pulls fine until I back off for that split second to shift, almost like it gets a little confused for a sec and then smooths out once I get the pedal mashed back to the floor. Have any of you experianced this? Is this a sign of needing the carb redone? My only mods are a header and Bonez cat, but it started doing it before the header was installed. Thanks for any advice!

ps It's a 1985 GSL

Ok, now I've noticed that it also does it if I rev the car out 5-6k or more, back off the gas, and then re-excellerate. It seems that it cuts out untill I feel the "hard spot" in the pedal where the secondaries open back up. Maybe low fuel pressure? Dirty, worn out carb? Am I looking for a needle in a haystack? The car has 115k well maintained miles, so I don't think it's worn out. It still has plenty of power (although I've never driven another Rx so I have nothing to compare it to) Please, anyone's opinion would be great. thanks
