sitting

I just bought a 79 rx-7 that has been bridge ported and it has been siting for around a year is there any thing I should do before I try and start it.

Change the fluids (oil, coolant, even brake fluid). Pull the plugs, and spin it over a few times. That should clear out any foreign substances in the engine. The gas in the tank may be going bad after a year. Wouldn't hurt to siphon it out and fill with fresh stuff.

I doubt you need to do anything, but if it makes you feel better, put about a teaspoon of 2 stroke oil in each rotor (L spark plug hole) before spinning it. There is usually lots of residual oil in there but this will not hurt.
