Do I need new motor mounts, or will an engine brace solve the problem?....1991 N/A

Check your motor mounts. If they are good, then the problem is a warped clutch, caused by overheating it, which was caused by you slipping it too much.

If the pressure-plate is faulty or torqued down wrong it can do this.

Or if your flywheel is messed up.

you didnt machine your flywheel did you? is your clutch a stage 2 or 3? stage 2 and 3 clutches will chudder a little when you first start off in/or go real slow in 1st and reverse... machining your flywheel will help this a little bit. i have same problem, i have stage 3 clutch and didnot machine my flywheel
