safety wire
Somehow, I think I've heard people suggest (years ago) that the tension bolts be checked some miles after a rebuild because they have a tendency to back out. They certainly don't get torqued very tight.
What I would like to know is if I am wrong and that this problem doesn't really exist or if it is, why wouldn't people use safety wire for these very important bolts?
Thanks for any input.

The "stat-o-seal" is supposed to keep them from backing out.
I've never heard of tension bolts backing out.  The "How To Modify Your RX-7" book shows a simple plate you can "build" that prevents the tension bolts from backing out into the spinning flywheel.
