hey i have a 2nd gen gxl with 112,000 miles on it and oil is always changed every 3,000 miles. Well to get to the point i was driving one day and all the sudden when i was accelerating from a red light alittle faster than traffic my car decided to go ahead and bog down horribly and act as if i was accelerating in 3rd instead of first gear. The car is extremely slow accelerating and sounds horrible. It also tends to die when left to ideal by itself. I have tried replacing spark plugs but still nothing. Please help your my only hope thanks matt.

 

s4 or s5? n/a or turbo?

If its a s5, possibly limp mode?

I have a slight backfire a little poof sounds when I shift from 2 to 3 and upon slowing down to a stop sign I put it in nuetral cause I don;'t want to hear the backfoire noise I replaced the pickup coil assy and the ignotor had to taker distributor oput to change the pickups it idols rough at stop , but after about 40 seconds it straightens itself out to a normal idol anyone know what the timming should be TDC /ATDC/ 85 12A rx7 needs help anyone can join for answers . what do the little lines mean inside the pickups on the l coil plate. how do you fit the metal cap back onto the distrib ( prtective cover under the rotor) does it line up and snap down in mine just sits there and will move if I touch it it falls to the side it has slots 4 of them but how to align it?

o i will haveto check on the cas. thanks and i have checked the vacumm lines too. but what i have done is in the mean time is bought some injectors to replace my old ones. since the owner before me decided to put in t2 injectors that were used so i am going to try replacing thoughs.

I have a 1989 fc3s turboII with 9 boost high pressure fuel pump fuel defencer boost defencer blowof valve and open air intake. Plus s-afc apexi which I sett to standard settings

The car started well and run very nicely, suddenly from one to anotherday the car

• Doesn’t start well
• Cannot run idle
• Runs rough
• Does.nt respond to throttle (engine doesn’t take up well
• Smells badly to fuel


What can it be??
