rx7 rd3 issues :/.. please help..
Hi, im new to the whole rotary thing.. i have a jap import rx7- fd3-13b.. and was wondering if i could get some advice.. my rx keeps going into limp mode.. ive looked n looked through forum pages but cant figure out my problem coz all other posts have this or that done to theyre car and as they talk about it the post just stop... my rx7 is pretty much stock.. standard turbos.standard ecu.. the lot.. where should i start to look for the cause of this.. ive changed ht leads to magnicore because 1 had a split.. the spark plugs look pretty much brand new. All the hoses look good n none are disconnected.. basically im stuck! Lol

When does it go into limp mode?
And have you pulled the codes from CEL?

Randomly.. i got her in december drove fine for a day then as i was driving fine it just cut all power.. u can leave her for a day n she'll b ok then it'll happen later.. can take hours or minutes :/ .. im not sure but ive been told only the amerucan rx7s have a cel light so im about to try the resister and led light trick.. hopefully will work

Come up with 2 long flashes and 7 short so 27.. n kept repeating that code.. looking thru the forums they say it oip metering pump? That correct does any1 know..? Is that common?

That was going to be my guess your OMP. Old/burnt oil can cause the unit to act up or maybe the wire harness. You can try removing your OMP take it apart & clean it good with brake cleaner, make sure to dry it out well before you reinstall it good luck.

Now this is where i show my lack of actual knowlage lol.. how would i go about testing the harness?? Just a volt meter n see if its running 12 volts?? Any1 know??.. yea im hopefully taking it out this weekend.. n hopefully wont be to difficult
