Rust on my pressure plate....

I'm in the process of swapping motors in my car, and the engine I'm using already has a low milage clutch/plate/flywheel on it. But there's rust on the pressure plate. I'm not talking holes rusting throughit, etc....but surface rust. Is this ok to use? It's temporary anyway until I buy a new clutch, but I want to get the car on the road now, is it ok to use it?

Do not waste time typing questions just sand the rust off with rough sand papper. Do the pp and the flywheel to remove the glaze . Then it will be as good as it can be .If the fiber disc is glazed smooth, sand it to. alittle will do it .

Yes, I should've known better. Next time I'll just guess and keep my fingers crossed that it works. If it was your car maybe you'd feel a little different.

Don't forget to spray it down with a good degreaser, like Brake-Clean.
