Rotor cleaning?
So after tearing apart my motor i wana make everything shiny again.What solvents and methods of cleaning the carbon and debris off your rotors has everyone used and the most effective?

well ive already puttem through the parts washer with no effect really.its got about 115000 miles onem and im the first one to crack open the motor.and of course ive tried the brake cleaner and degreaser.

I used something similar to this:
BettyMills: Chem-Dip® Professional Parts Cleaner - Berryman 084-0905
I don't recall the exact names on the liquid drums, but it was similar to the link above (got it from a local AutoZone). It still took some elbow grease with a firm wire brush.

Carb cleaner is great for removing the carbon.If you must use something harsher stay away from any of the seal areas.clean those with carb cleaner and an old seal.

I was also wondering because a lot engine build videos say to reuse the bearing if it's not very worn. Is that because of cost?
What do you think about soaking in gas or diesel?
what ignorant you wantedvto reuse bearings? Iknow brake clean and a lotof stuff is bad for it
