Rotary diesel

Hey guys, Im not sure if someone has done it already, but I was wondering if the design of the rotary would ever be able to handle diesel?

Gas prices are going up, and I have been looking at all the great benefits of diesel. Just curious

The Wenkel was originally designed to run on diesel and in airplanes.
