WI Replacement key

I'm down to 1 bent up key for my 88 rx7 turbo but have not been able to make any copies of it. Is it possible to get replacement keys from mazda? Or are there companies that can make keys from a bent key?

the dealer can run a report with the vin and if the key code is there, a new key can be cut.

A locksmith should have no problem cutting a key by hand.

it depends. the DGDG dealers would only charge for the key, but some will charge for the cut and the key

I bent my key when my locks were sticky a year or two ago. I ended up going to a local locksmith and had a new one cut by hand in about 10 minutes, and it only cost me $6. I'd recommend a decent local locksmith

^That will work as long as the original key profile is not worn down too much. The key metal is significantly softer than the mating lock cylinders, so the key profiles will wear down over years of use. The keys that I got when I purchased my FD were all worn down enough that the locksmith copied keys I purchased were just as balky to use. So after following the various threads here on the forum on how to clean & maintain the door lock cylinders, and still having issues with the keys, I contacted Ray Crowe, gave him my VIN # and a day later had a set of brand new Mazda OEM keys in my hand for less than $20. Since I live local to the Mazda dealership that Ray ships from, I was able to pick them up and avoid the shipping cost. The new keys solved all my lock problems.

If you can straighten it in a vice and not break it (idk how bent it is) ace hardware copied mine, though they constantly insisted that there was a chip in it(which there wasn't)
