renesis intake ports with peripheral exhaust ports

I was just curious if anyone has ever tried using renesis side plates with a peripheral port exhausts. I've read that the s4 and s5 6 ports can not be ported much. I've also read one of the problems with the rx8 engine is the exhaust ports. Anyone blocked off the side exit exhausts and made an engine off of rx8 intake, turbo or na?

the JDM tuners have done this, Rx8 irons, GSL-SE rotor housings, blocked off exhausts. they are ~280hp level like this.

Rotary Radness, Mazdatrix's 13B REW/MSP Hybrid!

Dave Lemon/Kyle Mohan have done this at Mazdatrix as well for their RX-8 in a turbo application.

I haven't seen any dyno graph or real information on it yet.

Wow, that is impressive. Any reason they use false housings, ignition timing?

Anyone know how much material can be petted on the rx8 intake ports? Is the timing already close to optimal?

the Rx8 moves the water seals back into the rotor housings, so the FC-FD housings don't work
