Rebuild the stock tranny or go with an Upgrade??

Which tranny is the better option for my 74 RX-4. I had a used 5 speed from an RX-7 installed and it lasted me for a couple of years doing some drag racing here and there. I was wondering if I should buy another used RX-7 tranny or, rebuild the one I have. I have even considered going with the t5 mustang tranny and going from there. The car is a turbo car and has about 310 to the wheels so I need something that will last but not put a whole in my pocket.

i say upgrade. if you're drag racing it, i'd look into getting an Rx-7 T2 tranny. i think it would be well worth the time and coin.

yeah, and plenty strong enough. They aren't very hard to come by really, shouldn't be too spendy.
