rebuild problems

rebuild problems
recently rebuilt my rx7's(87 gxl n/a) engine. towed it around to start it up, then it started overheating. what the frick could be wrong? anyone know?

Over heating? The water pump is good? The radiator is not clogged? You flushed out everything? Also you cleaned the water passages in the engine when you had it opened up right? ANd made sure to clean out your oil cooler?

Did you fill the radiator after you started the car? You have to keep filling it cause its going to go down some as the coolant gets pumped through the engine. Let the engine idle and fill the radiator or overflow reservoir so that the entire system is full.
Also, did you put the same thermostat back in the car? I would take it out and put it in a pot of water and boil the water and watch and see if the thermo stat opens.
