Hello all. Today the weirdest thing happend to my 88 gxl rx7. I parked my car at my girls house and about a half hour later her sister said ,"hey your car alarm is going off" I was like what? I don't have a car alarm. Well when i got outside the horn was blaring and the headlights were shining through the clear lenses on the bumper. As soon as I opened my door, it stopped. after 15 minutes it did it again. I had to unplug my battery cable so it wouldn't happen again. What's going on I didn't even know this car had an alarm. I recall on the console there is a light which says security, I thought it didn't work anymore. I think it's kind of cool that their is an alarm in the car, but how do I get it to work properly? how is it supposed to be armed and disarmed? any help would be greatly appreciated. The factory alarm, along with the whole factory RX-7 electrical system is a piece of garbage.
Don't bother using it or keeping it even.

I don't know why it keeps going off maybe someone pulled you door handle, but it arms it's self when you lock both the doors and mine cherps when you push down both the looks, and you disarm it by putting the key in the drivers side door and turning it to the unlocked positon then it should turn off.
