Questions

First one is search related sorta. A while back I was looking through posts and some on had a link to a setup for a 2 cycle oiling system that is used in the rotary aviation setups. I thought I bookmarked it but I can't find it. I want to say it was from atkins but I searched their site and can't find it. I know I can make one myself but this one was a little nicer than the home brew ones I have seen. Comes with the resevoir and all the hoses and what not. So if some one knows where I can find that I would be greatful!

Second was a general tech question reguarding fuel cells. I have access to an aluminum fuel cell from a boat. It is about 12 -15 gallons not Sure exactly I will try to get some pics of it. My question is are these suitable to use in cars? I have seen racing fuel cells and these are constructed every bit as well. Is there any advantage on having a fuel cell as opposed to the factory tank? If not I think I will just clean my tank really well and bolt it back up...

At least one.

I believe you want this.

I know nothing about fuel cell specifics and such, but I have seen a lot of boat fuel cells, and I can't see anything stopping you other than possibly being hard to mount. I would think the biggest difference would be like... if the bottom of the boat cell is V-shaped for the hull or some other weird shape. If it's just sort of a rectangular brick... should be a good deal.

Thats it!! You rock!!! Thanks!!!

And yes the cell is just a block to me it looks like any other cell I have ever seen. I guess the real question is is there like a guageing size that it needs to be to meet certain requirements. ect.. Like for instance for SCCA, not that I will be doing any, just curious.

I do not know what the regulations are. I would not be surprised if the tank would need to be "dot approved" but I would have to do more research or someone else would have to chime in.

S5 and higher uses electric. S4 is mechanical.

Holy thread hi-jack batman.

It goes against my gut, but I'll see what I can do to help you. Next time, do try to make your own thread though.

It is possible to install a 13bt into an FB, but it is a lot of work. I know a lot more about putting a turbo drivetrain into a non-turbo FC than into an FB, but a lot of things are the same. You're going to need an entire T2 drivetrain, which is often harder to find than a T2. This means the motor, harness, ECU, transmission, diff, axles etc. You'd probably want more brakes to handle the turbo. I don't know what kind of driveshaft you would need for this application.

It's a LOT of work. This may help you know what you would be getting into, although it isn't exactly for your application.

I think your best bet is to get a Turbo 2 FC, get it running reliably, and then start modding it. You will (IMO) have by far the most enjoyable experience with your car this way.

If you really like working on your car, have the budget, and/or are DEAD set on having a turbo FB (which really is a cool thing) then it can be done. The FB has a bit more of a visceral feel than the FC, but the FC has a more modern suspension setup (watts link vs macpherson strut).

Good luck no matter what you decide.
