Putting Exhaust on but what Size???

My friend has a 86' GLX and he is going to put a high flow cat on and duel Tusdo mufflers, What size pipe would you recomend for him to put on?

Also any ideas for a cool air intake?

what are his plans for the car in terms of sound level and future mods?

at any rate, unless he was planning some RADICAL mods (forced induction and all that ...) i would probably advise against using anything bigger than 2.25" on an N/A car.
