ok i just bought my car less then a month ago its a base coupe 87 in gold non turbo, ill post some pix of the work iv done to this car in the past 2 weeks but now i worry about the engine bay im planing on relocating things mounted around the motor, what could i remove in the engine bay to clear things up??? and what i should know be removal. posting pix in a lil while.

well theres still alot of ppl who would like a cleaner engine bay so why not start a thread? sorry i was tryin to get ppls attention by putting up this is for everyone, im really looking into that battery thing sounds like a plan rx7 punk

is there a thread on what can be done, so far i got my a/c out cuz the system was craped out and i dont have power steering, got rid of the airbox and got an air filter conversion, took out the sub-zero tank and everything to do with and cleaned/degreased the hell out of the bay, so nice ill post a pic up tomorrow i was today but its already to dark, but yea help me out

I would just look around for hoses that look cracked and old. There will be a few that need replacing. Go to teh autozone and buy 6 feet of vaccum line. Cut them to length AND REPLACE YOUR STOCK HOSES ONE AT A TIME! You dont want to forget which hoses went where. Look at your coolant hoses, make sure your thermostat is in good working shape. Its a common misconception that Rx7s preform better with out a thermostat. NOT TRUE.
Once you're done checking the hoses start pulling off brackets, sanding them, and painting them with high temp.
Once thats done, strip out your interior, gut your cats, and your on your way to a very clean 7
