Position of O2 sensor on a dyno run

Hi,

I have never actually had a car of mine on a dyno, and don't have any dynos available to use here in Mauritius. Could anyone tell me where they put the O2 sensor during a dyno run.

I ask this because I thought cats affected the readings, and although my car does not have one, I was wondering if I could use the meter I am going to buy on my friends cars (Most of which will still have catalytic converters). i.e. stick their sensor in the exhaust.

btw, on my car i intend to fit my sensor to the bottom of the downpipe, and have a separate sensor for other vehicles test.

Trevor
