Porting - Spirit R Type A

Hi there,
I'm looking at getting a RX7 Sprit R Type A and I was wondering what porting they had from factory.
Thanks

they only gave it the bling-bling spirit, not the zoom-zoom spirit.

There is no difference engine/performance wise between Spirit R Type A, Spirit R Type B, Type RZ and Type RS. The Type A and RZ were slightly lighter due to the lack of rear seats and the recaros, but not big enough to translate into any real performance difference.

The only mechanical difference between these models is that the Spirit R Type A and Type B got cross-drilled brake rotors and braided brake lines.

Engine wise, the Spirit R Type A is also identical to the Type R, Type R Bathurst and Type R Bathurst R. These variants actually have a superior power-weight to than the Spirit R, but the Spirit R (and identical variants listed above) have shorter gearing with better acceleration.

As a Spirit R owner I freely admit that the Spirit R was essentially a parts-bin runout special with a shiny numbered plate. Keep that in mind, because they are now costing almost double a Type RS which offers identical performance.
