Porting

Im interested in porting my rx7 but i dont even know what it does. Can anybody elaborate?

Porting increase the amount of air being taken in and exhaust taken. If you're running turbo, helps spool the turbo a bit more faster then stock ports.

porting (in a rotary or reciprocating), when done right, basically increases output by improving the airflow throughout the engine. there are serious variables to consider, such as: velocity, idle quality and powerband, so it's not just a matter of going in ham-fisted and making all the ports BIGGER!

My simple way of describing it to newcomers is its similar to installing came and doing head work on a piston engine changing intake and exauhst durarions hence causing ur loping from piston engine
