plugged dip tube

Don't know if anybody else has had this problem, but i replaced my 87 TII fuel pump and found the return line comletely plugged with gum/varnish inside the dip tube. This of course contributed to fuel pump burn out. If you're having poor gas milage, flooding and high fuel pressure, you might want to check this. (The cause is precipitation of gums and dimers from the hot fuel return when it hits the cold dip tube, which makes a perfect condensor.) Course this is in Michigan, where were now about 1/2 way through winter. lol
