Most jet skis use two stroke engines.

Traditional Rotary type engine planes are still piston engines that have them set up in a circle and a stationary shaft .... and the pistons move around the shaft.

There is also people who put 13Bs and 20B in light aircraft ....

Rolce Royce who makes aircraft engines made a big rotary engine, but i am not sure if it came into mass production ( doubt it )

ANd there is the www.moller.com skycar ... that has 8 rotary engines driving it.

LADA ( the russian company that made the SAMARA and the KOZAK ... that were sold here in North America )

Also had bunch of production cars with rotary engines

Many of those cars were police cars or special cars for governoment use ( KGB .. etc ) and stuff.

they also had bunch of military vehicles with rotary engines and small helicopters & planes

I think the piston engine you refer to as a rotary in airplanes is actually a radial engine.

there was also a mazda roadpacer sold in japan which was an Australian Holden Statesman (WB i think) with a 13b in it, they were very expensive in japan at the time, sold as a prestige car, but they stucked.

Mercedes also made a very fast and powerfull 3 rotor supercar prototype and also played around with a 4 rotor prototype but im not sure if the 4 rotor ever made it into a car. i think from memorty it was called the C111, but im not completley sure.

heres a pick of c111 http://www.whnet.com/4x4/d1.html

here is a link to mazda roadpacer http://members2.easyspace.com/hothol...roadpacer.html

Both rotary cycle (Wankel) and rotary radials have been used in airplanes. Rotary radials were common during WWI, while rotary cycle engines are more common now in experimental aircraft. The rotary cycle engine is especially popular in very narrow airframes which would not allow for a wide engine like the more common horizontally-opposed piston engines used in most general aviation airplanes.

Yes, both types have been used. I was refering to Black 91 GT's statement however. Thank you for conferming about the radial engine.
