Opinions for $400

I'm thinking of picking it up, tearing it down, and if it's in decent wear on the rotors and such rebuilding it, otherwise just screwing with it, would it be a bad price, or likely to be unrebuildable without spending an excessive amount on parts? Is it a bad price?

For reference its about 100 miles away, but I don't think any junkyards near me have any rx7's to pull one from, so I don't think that's a huge deal

I guess it depends how badly rusted it might be inside. Given the distance, maybe see if he is willing to shine a light into the exhaust ports and get some pics of the inside to check for rust.
