oil spewing out of my filler neck
So I was SeaFoaming my 12a today, and it started spewing oil out of my filler neck. I had an oil leak yesterday on the top of my motor while I was trying to clear up the motor by driving around the block, and thought that it was just my vent tube that had come undone. If i'm overpressurizing the oil sump and the oil is spewing out of the filler neck (high pressure spraying from under the cap), does that mean that my oil control rings are shot and the motor is dead? My oil cap doesn't tighten very well anymore, so it doesn't seal.

My impression based on all of your threads is that there is only one next step no matter what happened to your motor. Tear it apart and look at it. If looking at it doesn't mean a lot to you, then take and post tons of pictures for people to look at.
45/45/45 compression alone is past quittin time. "Low compression" due to a very tired motor is usually in the 60-70 range. From my fairly limited experience anything below that has some sort of hard part or seal failure. They may still run if you roll 'em down a big enough hill, but they won't want to, and you're not likely doing them a whole lot of good.
^edit: that or they're improperly using a crappy compression tester.
Further edit (sorry... I woke up, and the General Rotary section was at the end of my bed): What does your oil smell like? Fuel? Exhaust? Normal dirty oil smell?

the oil smells like dirty oil. there is a little bit of oil floating in my coolant, which leads me to believe that the motor is totally FUBAR. i'm ATF'ing it as a last resort, and if that doesn't work, then i'm going to start driving to my grandpa's house after work and prepping my spare motor there.

This all depends on what conditions you aree experiencing this under. If it is under load/boost, then oil seals are suspect but there are also other consideraqtions to take into account. This issue is not so black and white. Here is link with some very useful info. A long read but it does go somewhere.

Well if there's oil in the coolant system it would make sense that the coolant system would have a leak (whether the coolant system has a leak into the oil system or if they both have a leak into a shared system or whatever). It can't hurt to pressure test the coolant system, just to have more data to go by.
This is a little bit more of a long-shot answer, but we're dancing around a blown motor anyway, and it's easy.
