Oil smells like gas!! HELP!!!!

I have a 93 Auto FD and when I took it for an oil change recently it looked like the oil had turned into black water. It poured out and so I replaced it with a higher viscosity oil and hoped that it was just from running hard. Now I have been having a strange fuel problem that reminds me of a clogged fuel filter problem and it hesitates and burps on heavy throttle. When I checked everything out the other day it looked like one of the spark plugs had loosened and allowed some gunk to escape. I replaced them and checked the oil as I pieced everything back together. The oil was black again and this time had a slight smell of gasoline in it. WTF?

Some oil dilution is normal with a rotary especially one that runs excessively rich or misfires a lot. Loose spark plugs can cause misfiring (poor ground path/poor heat transfer) but it sounds like you may have other issues.

What weight oil did you put in? Hopefully nothing heavier than 20w50...

I just put in a new air filter before the change in idle and boost problem. I'm just gonna change the oil 1 more time and see what happens. I did a small vacuum hose replacement and found a busted vac hose. I now have 10 lbs of boost from the 1st turbo but it drops to about 4 lbs of boost when the second one comes in, at about 4500 rpms. I checked the IC pipes and the Y-pipe connectors, they were all fine with no cracks. Last thing I can think of is a toasted or mostly toasted solenoid in the rats nest. Maybe the turbo pre-control? Thanks,
-Chris
