Oil pressure questions

Ok, car runs 60psi for ever (175K miles) then loose an apex so the motor gets rebuilt. Once the new motor hits 1000 miles and start to drive it daily I noticed the oil pressure is 30 at an idle and through some of the gears, but mainly stays at 45 and never hits 60.

what do you think? Bad oil sending unit, Oil pump, or the guage?

Maybe the o-ring under the front cover was a little out of place when your builder installed the front cover?

Might have to look into that. would that make the car leak oil at all?
Thanks for the help.

No. It would allow freshly pumped oil to leak back into the pan before going to the oil cooler, then filter, then into the bearings and back into the pan.

Well the pressure problem is fixed.

I ordered a new oil pressure sport comp gauge and it came with a new oils sending unit, so I figured I would know for sure the sending unit and guage were good.

Well the new sending unit will not fit and the guage is flickering all over, so I pulled another sending unit off one of the many 7's I have and what do you know, my oil pressure is back at 30 at an idle and dead on 60 going down the road.
I feel so much better now. I have been worried about driving her with the guage showing 20psi at idle and 35psi at 3k.
Now she can be driven and I can enjoy the ride.

Thanks for all the help.
