oil cooler bypass valve installation

hi guys

I know this has been covered on here before but for some reason I can not see any of the images.
Was doing my run in oil change and thought it would be best to get as much oil out as possible so I removed what I thought was a drain bolt on the oil cooler.
I was wondering if any one can help me with a pic of how to install the valve and spring into the oil cooler. I pulled it and out fell the spring and valve so now I'm scared to guess as its a new engine.

Thanks tommy

I don't have pictures, so i'll try and describe it the best i can

Go in this order, bolt, set the copper piece so it sits flush (the spring part sticks up) than set the spring over top of that, than put it together

It sprang apart on me too the first time i took it apart, but it honestly can one go together ONE way, any other way things don't line up
