noob getting a FC, needs some books

I am getting a rx7 N/A from a friend next week for free. it needs some work. the engine starts but will not stay running, it either is bad or out of gas. he does not care. it was vandalized and he does not want or need the car. all I have to do is drive for 2 hours and pick it up.

so, i want to clean it up, but I have no idea about rotary motors, other than the basic idea of how they work, i know nothing about working on them. I know alot about turbos and mechanic skills, i have a 400hp wrx right now and I am actually getting tired of AWD. I am not about to go and put a V8 or something along those lines in the car, I want it to have what it is supposed to have in it. a rotary.

I love to know everything about the car, and will probably be putting a TII motor in it or something, and I want to rebuild stuff. So, I will be needing some learing tools. what are some good books that will help me with this project? definately a chilton or haynes manual. What books are there for performance info on the motors?
thanks

If you are looking to swap the n/a --> TII, I would suggest getting the Factory Service Manual.
