no start problem in 93 Touring

I have had my 93 Touring since 2001. It has run well for the last 20 years, except for three days ago. It had been parked for about a week since it was last run. When I tried to start it, the battery was nearly dead and only cranked the starter for about 10 seconds, then died. The engine did not fire at all. I charged the battery overnight and when I tried to start it, the starter turned the motor over at the normal rpm, but the engine would not start. I recalled that the previous day I only cranked the motor for about ten seconds. My previous three FC..1986, 1987, 1990...all had the cold start problem in the stock computer. If you did not let the car run for at least a couple minutes on the cold start and turned the car off, it would not re-start. I suspected my FD had the same problem, since the start sequence the previous day was only for ten seconds before the battery died. Not sure, though. I have the Apexi aftermarket computer on the car. Do not know if it also has the cold start problem and I have been careful for twenty years to always run the engine a couple minutes on cold start. Anyway, I went to the procedure used to start my FC if they would not cold start. I removed all of the spark plugs and although they did not appear to be wet, I dried them well and cleaned them. Then I blew compressed air into all four spark plug holes and let the car sit overnight. Then put the plugs back in and tried to start. The engine did not even fire once. Anyone have suggestions how to trouble shoot the Apexi to see if it has a problem? Or any other suggestions? The rotary specialists near Manassas have moved and I'm not sure if there is another RX-7 shop nearby.

I'd try fresh spark plugs and de-flooding to start. Get a second car in there to jump start it. Put the gas pedal all the way down while cranking to cut the fuel and blow out any excess fuel. If that doesn't work I'd go with a push/pull start to fire it off.

There are a few rotary guys in Manassas, I'm about 20 minutes away from you in Nokesville, VA.
