At what temperature do RX7's usually refuse to start? Today it was 45 degrees out and my rex had been sitting in the barn for a week and when i went to start it, it started for like 2 seconds then shut down. So, I tried and tried again and it just kept wanting to start. Then i unflooded it just to make sure, and it still wanted to start, then it just stop wanting to and would only turn over.

mine starts fine until it gets around freezing. it will still start, but it takes a lot of cranking. my car has a choke problem though.

 

hmm, okay. that means mine shuldnt of had a problem, i will see today.

 

Cold starting is mostly a function of the intake system. What intake are you running? Stock nikki, weber, dell, holley. No details no answers

 

its a mikuni carb, i dont know much about it bc i wasnt the one who installed it. i know i need a new air filter, the on there right now is 10 yrs old and has been sitting forever, so i might take it off and try to start it once i get home from work. i will also warm up the oil pan before starting too.
