my dilemma, rebiuld or not?

So my car has been sitting for 6-7 years. the current engine in it now is a s4 13bt with streetport and thicker dowel rear iron. Before I stored the car, I drained all the fluids, only the past 2 years I have had coolant sitting in the block. The engine had 85psi on all 6 faces when I first bought it used. I drove at least 10K miles and do not know the current compression. I have my doubts because every few months I end up about half a cup to a cup low on the coolant level. I don't see any visual leaks

How durable are these o rings on the engine? What else should I be worried about from a sitting engine?

Long story short, my tune is off because I had a buddy help tune my car when my tps was bad, now with a good tps, it runs crappy. I'm almost ready for a tune, but I'm worried that this engine isn't going to last much longer.

I bought a spare s4 13bt big street port engine that is rebuilt, 0 miles, and has been sitting for 2 years now. When I turn the engine by hand it builds more compression than my exhisting engine

My next build I wanted to try these 9.4:1 rotors I purchased through members. While my current engine in the car has not had catastrophic failure. I was hoping to run the irons off my exhisting street port engine, with the best of my rotor housings,, the 9.4:1 rotors, and the new hard seals in this rebuilt engine. I will be replacing the o rings

I've heard good and bad things about big street ports, opinions? I will be street driving my car and occasional track use.

I'm also thinking about how much more money I would be spending on tuning, how much longer my exhisting engine will last.

I guess my next step is to get a compression test on my exhisting engine, and maybe put a coolant pressure tester on it.

suggestiongs?

if you have a fresh engine already , and the compression was only 85 on your old one . I'd say swap them out and take your time and rebuild the one in the car now . before it hasa catastrophic failure

You should also do a champaign test just for the hell of it see if you are getting bubbles on cold start up . from compression escaping into the coolant system.

So I got a chance to warm up my engine and compression check it. 85psi warm. I forgot to go wide open throttle. My car won't idle cold without throttle so i didn't get a chance to open my coolant to check for bubbles.
