MEssed up Oil pump...

Ok guys, I was trying to rebuild my engine this weekend but when i got to the oil pump, I was putting on the gear that goes on top for the oil chain and the little key that fits in the key slot of the gear and oilpump got pushed down and i didnt notice, and when i torqued it I squashed the hell out of it. Now it is too fat to fit in the groove as well as mangled. Is there anything I can do or make to use in its place? Or does anyone have an extra I could buy or something? Really sucks to stop for this and dont wanna spend 100$ for a new oilpump when it was still good.

Go to the "Parts for sale" section on this forum. There are people selling parts and parting out cars there. You may be able to find what ya need there. Not many people visit this particular section. And is it a FB, FC, or FD?
