Hi guys, is there someone that has the mazda compression tester?
It's a part N 49 H075 280 Mazda compression tester
I've the original instruction manual the plastic bag and all the hardware
Inside I've seen that there are 2 cutted track on the mainboard (I don't understand why)
The problem on the car is that i've no readings , but number appear on all displays

in the back you can see the cut between the external Yellow wires, the lower blue wire and the Yellow wire on the right have no terminal so I don't know if is missing something

all I know from what I seen..once..was that the box required 12 volts and the Plug part had a transducer on it to read the compression pulses.It was on a lead to screw into the spark plug hole.

tried continuity on the transducer and all is ok, tried with welded tracks but nothing changed... i really don't know what to do, I've tried to send an email to the producer but up to now no answer received
There's a vendor on here manufacturing their own rotary compression tester, seems to be just as good as OEM and a fraction of the price. Why don't you look into replacing this if you're not getting the information you need?
there's a difference between being purist and being thickheaded..
it's just a compression tester.
if you want to salvage it you will probably have to bring it to an electronics shop near you for basic testing which is usually rather expensive and has no guarantees to give you any helpful information at all. reverse engineering electronics is a lengthy process sometimes and doesn't always even net a result. since the designer knows what they are building in the first place, someone diagnosing electronics usually has no clue until a while to days later examining all the components on the board.
the compression tester i built for my own use gives much more information than the factory mazda one gives, down to a fraction of a PSI per rotor face.
