knocking sound
Hello, I've had a few RX-7's and just bought an RX-8 should have checked it out better but it is what it is,lol. Thing is I have a knocking sound coming from engine and a small amout of the deadly foam on dipstick. Not every time I checked it a few times and the first and second dip came pack with a little foam on it. None of my others ever had any knocks so I took for granted I guess that they were near impossible to spin a bearing. Any advise? any thing that might give me some time until I can rebuild?

there is a TSB for a knocking sound from the intake, one of the valves (SSV?) needs a stiffer spring.
foam on the dipstick is normal, its just condensation.
