Have the codes scanned by someone (any automotive shop should have an ODB1 tester). That'll immediately tell you what's wrong. If you're more of the DIY type, get a shop manual (I like Haynes, but any will do) and go through the diagnostics.

In a nutshell, it sounds like a bad sensor/vacuum line. The most important sensor/vac line is the boost sensor (probably your problem), but don't discount every vacuum line, especially the ones that are near the turbos. Check the water temp sensor, intake air temperature, and the AFM (or is it MAS?). Replace all the vacuum lines (with silicone ones), and make sure everything is nicely plugged in. Take things one step at a time and don'e turn a simple problem into a complex mess.

Hmm I've just had my RX7 Twin Turbo for about a month and I'm having similar problems!! ALthough mine seems to be fine until I hit more then Half throttle!!! The twitching and roacking, backfiring all to familiar though! Mine only started doing it after I foolishly ran it out of fuel!
