Just bought a 1983 rx7 having starting problems

I bought my 83 rx7 12a 5speed 70,000 miles a week ago. Owner had taken the starter off. I'm not sure why? Owner said one day the car wouldn't start when he went to start it and so he parked the car for 5 years and now I own the car. Anyways the car dose not have a starter. I tryed push starting the rx7 in 1st gear 2nd gear and 3rd and it would not start but seamed as if the rear tires locked up? Is my engine seased or should I try putting a starter on the car and try cranking it? Owner said when the car broke down he never tryed starting the car with a new starter???

Try rolling the motor over by hand. If you can't get it to budge, than its seized

motor would not turn at all by hand. Was very hard pulling the spark plugs that are rusty and has a lot of carbon build up. I was told I could brake the motor free MAYBE if I dumped ATF into the spark plug holes an let it sit for a week? I'm thinking about pulling the motor haha.
