Question Injector stuck open - remedy?

I got my rx running and took it around the block, it ran fine until the secondaries (rc 1000cc's) came online, then it started missing and it sounded like it was running on one rotor.

The reason I believe that it is stuck open is because my fuel pressure drops real quick after I shut it off. It will start and run on one rotor, but smells really rich and I have to turn off the fuel pump and let the pressure drop nearly to 0psi before it will start.

I have a rtek 2.1 (I get an 02 error when its running) and supporting mods, my wb is acting funny (reads a constant 14.5) too need to look into that too. (Could a rich mix of gas and premix damage the sensor?)

I don't smell any gasoline in the engine bay.

What can I do about an injector that is stuck open?
Could it be a defective injector? Do I just have to get them tested?

Thanks!

i dont think the injector is stuck open..
speaking from experience from a piston engine, when i had an injector stuck open, the engine would idle at about 4000rpm from all the extra fuel...

did you adjust your ecu for the different size injectors?

I've dialed out a bunch of fuel under vacuum, ecu is set at pri 550cc and 720cc sec, but I'm running 680's and 1000's. It was running fine till I took it for a drive and the secondaries came on. (butt dyno says faster than before)

I took the upper intake manifold off last night and could see the injector dripping after I shut off the car, and the fuel atomizer was soaked, so its definitely stuck open. The question is what do I do about it? I tried tapping on it. That didn't work. I was reading about using a 9 volt battery, and energizing the inj. momentarily to see if it unsticks...? I don't want to mess up my injectors though.?

Thanks

Ok, so its not 'stuck open', just leaking internally. must be defective. Going to send it back, was hoping for a solution for a quick fix. Unfortunately, it seems there isn't one.

Thanks

You didn't say if these are new or used injectors, if used, send them out for cleaning/testing/calibration. New, send them back to the seller.

I have not looked at my fuel pressure, but today my car started and ran on one rotor, it also stays in the 9's for afr and i have to floor it to get it to start. What did your problem end up being, how bad was the injector leak.
