WI ignitor module replacement on 1st gen

my race car is suffering a power loss from either fuel or ignition issues and I think its the ignitor modules on the side of the distributor. I have heard you can replace the stock ignitiom modules with delco units, any one know how?

you have a few options when it comes to the electronic distributor with these engines. check in the Gen I section of the forum. i think they are all in the Archives by now, but i may be mistaken.

of the top of my head, i remember Jeff20B's DLIDFIS, which uses the stock J109 ignitors. however, there are also writeups on systems using the Gen II coil/ignitors and also GM HEI ignitors. i can't remember the authors of those threads, but they are there. a couple of quick searches should bring you all you need to know.
